1916: Foundations laid by Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. and Tokyo Gas & Electric

1922: Partnership with Wolseley Motor Ltd. leads to Japan’s first passenger car

1936: First diesel engine development

1959: Launch of the Elf truck – still Japan’s LCV market leader

1990: Introduction of the compact eddy current brake and ISUZU Rodeo (later D-MAX)

THE NEW D-MAX

2020 : The new D-MAX with a completely revised design and modernized equipment comes onto the market. Safer, more flexible, more comfortable: With a 3.5 t towing capacity, more than 20 safety and driver assistance systems and extensive customization options, the D-MAX creates, moves and carries more than ever.
