Since the Japanese company ISUZU was founded over 100 years ago, the commercial vehicle brand has established itself worldwide. With the founding of ISUZU Sales Deutschland GmbH as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and ISUZU in 2006, branches were established in Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our Legacy

The Harris Group, established over 50 years ago by the visionary Pino Harris, has grown to become Ireland’s leading importer and distributor of commercial vehicles. Our operations span a global supply chain, with a strong presence across Europe. Located on Dublin’s Naas Road, our landmark campus features extensive workshop facilities, a state-of-the-art parts distribution centre, and the only ISO-accredited KD assembly plant for HGV & LDT vehicles in Ireland and the UK.

ISUZU D-MAX TOWING CAPACITY

With the ISUZU D-MAX you can transport whatever you want. From horses to building materials to speedboats – you can rely on the D-MAX. Thanks to trailer sway control, you can travel safely even at high speeds and under load.

1916 : Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. develop initial plans to build automobiles.

In 1922, the collaboration with the automobile manufacturer Wolseley Motor Ltd. began. The result was the first Japanese passenger car.

In 1936, the company began developing its first diesel engines, laying the foundation for what remains the leading technological position in this segment to this day.

In 1959, ISUZU launched the first generation of the legendary Elf truck with a payload capacity of 2 tons, which remains the market leader in the light commercial vehicle segment in Japan to this day.

In 1971, the collaboration with General Motors begins.

In 1990, ISUZU developed the world’s first compact eddy current brake. At the same time, production of the first pick-up truck, called Rodeo (later known as D-MAX), began.

1993 : The new N-series comes onto the market. The powerful all-rounders start their unbroken success story.

In 2001, the Duramax 6000 was once again voted among the top ten engines in the world by Ward’s Communications in the USA.

2002 : In cooperation with General Motors, the ISUZU pick-up is completely redesigned in Thailand and is now called D-MAX.

2006 : ISUZU Sales Deutschland GmbH is founded.

In 2008, the sixth model generation of the N series was introduced.

In 2009, the D-MAX team achieved an excellent 11th place in the overall standings at the Dakar Rally, achieving the highest score among diesel-powered pick-ups.

The new ISUZU D-MAX will be launched in 2012 .

2013 : In March 2013, the ISUZU D-MAX was voted All-Wheel Drive Car of the Year 2013 by readers of AUTO BILD ALLRAD, Europe’s most widely read all-wheel drive magazine.

2016 : ISUZU celebrates double anniversary: ​​100 years of ISUZU worldwide and 10 years in Germany and Austria.

2017 : The ISUZU D-MAX with the most powerful tow bar to date comes onto the market. It can easily tow a payload of up to 1,225 kilograms and a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.

2018 : The ISUZU D-MAX is awarded the Green Light Truck 2018 environmental label by the magazines VerkehrsRundschau and TRUCKER as one of the cleanest pick-ups in its class. The D-MAX also defended this title in 2019 and 2020.

THE NEW D-MAX

2020 : The new D-MAX with a completely revised design and modernized equipment comes onto the market. Safer, more flexible, more comfortable: With a 3.5 t towing capacity, more than 20 safety and driver assistance systems and extensive customization options, the D-MAX creates, moves and carries more than ever.
